Hello my
golfing friends,
We've had a great week here with lots going on. The golf has been good
too with my local Spanish TV commentators getting excited because Sergio Garcia won again
and also because Miles Tunnicliff, who won at Gleneagles, is an ex-patriate Englishman who
has lived in Spain for many years and has a Spanish wife. Annika Sorenstam won another
major on the Ladies Tour and, talking about majors, we got the 104th U.S. Open starting on
Thursday. I've put together a preview article with my thoughts
on who could be the next U.S. Open champion.
This week's Player Profile is Rory
Sabbatini of South Africa who was just edged out by Garcia in a playoff at the Buick
Classic. And don't forget to check out our weekly cartoon Strip "Off the Cart Path".
That's about it for now. Don't forget, if there is anything you would
like us to add to Golfing Weekly, or if you have any comments you would
like to make, just drop us a line. This is your magazine and we want you to enjoy
reading it as much as we enjoy putting it together.
All the best,
Andy Smith
