Cristie Kerr recorded her second LPGA career victory on Saturday by
beating rookie Seol-An Jeon on the seventh hole of a cold and windy playoff at the
Takefuji Classic. Having given away a four stroke lead by making bogey on each of the last
four holes of regulation play Kerr put her Solheim Cup match play experience to good use
and kept her cool during sudden death. The first six playoff holes were shared in par with
both players missing chances for an earlier victory but finally Jeon hit into trouble on
the 7th (played on the 16th hole of the Las Vegas course) and Kerr took the title. |
