Editor's Comments

Hello my golfing friends,

This is an exciting time for me. We've only been publishing Golfing Weekly for a month and I'm overwhelmed by the response it's getting. I'd like to wish a warm welcome to all the new readers who have joined us since the last issue. We now have readers on every continent, so keep spreading the word and we'll soon have readers in every country in the world.

There was a lot of great action this week and victories from some great players who haven't been in the limelight for a few years. Steady and solid sound like boring words to use but how else can I describe the consistent, focussed performances of our winners this week. Appearing not to notice the pressure, they just kept hitting the fairways and greens and held it together despite seeing the excellent golf being played by their competitors.

I couldn't resist the opportunity to highlight the career of one of this week's winners, Mark O'Meara, who, despite not having won a tournament for almost six years, retains his Tour exempt status as one of the all-time top 25 career money earners.

That's it for now. Don't forget, if there is anything you would like us to add to Golfing Weekly, or if you have any comments you would like to make, just drop us a line. This is your magazine and we want you to enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy putting it together.

All the best,

Andy Smith
